What type of CPR certification do nurses need? Healthcare providers are required to take a more advanced CPR class. Professions that usually need a healthcare provider CPR certification are: Nurse (RN) Licensed vocational nurse (LVN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – required for all registered nurses. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required for RNs working in the ICU or with adults.
Some are even required for RN employment.
To ensure your workers are updated with their skills and knowledge Provide First Aid course is to be attended every three years. The Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) component of this is required to be updated yearly.Healthcare facilities and clinics require medical professionals to possess CPR certification.
