One on One Classes with e-Learning and Skills Check Off

Skills sessions. We will evaluate and train you on site after completing your online blended course with proof.

For American Heart Association courses that include psychomotor skills such as CPR, students must complete an in-person skills practice and testing session to obtain an AHA course completion card. With AHA Blended Learning, the skills practice and skills test are taken together during a Hands-on Skills Session after the student completes the eLearning portion online.

Skills Sessions are conducted by authorized AHA Instructors, or, in the case of HeartCode® courses, students can conduct the in-person skills practice and testing on a voice-assisted Manikin (VAM). The VAM serves as the Instructor and precisely measures the learner’s proper execution of the necessary psychomotor skills.

In-Person Skills Session

Skills sessions are taken with an AHA BLS Instructor AFTER completing part 1 of the BLS Course online. Students who successfully complete Part 1 receive a certificate that allows them entrance to a skills practice and testing session. An AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers course completion card will be issued upon successful completion of all three parts.

Who needs the “Blended Course?”

  1. We recommend the blended course if you are getting CPR certified for the first time, your certification has lapsed by 6+ months, or you would feel more comfortable performing your skills on a manikin.
  2. The blended course is required if you have been informed by your company or licensing administration that you must have a hands-on skill evaluation.
